Jordan is a country of approximately 11 million people. Within the Jordanian population, there are approximately 2.2 million Palestinian refugees; roughly 20% of the population of Jordan are Palestinian.
Jordan’s King Abdullah II gave an impassioned speech during the past weekend’s Cairo Peace Summit, assembled to quickly address the attack from Hamas terrorists and the subsequent Israeli war counteroffensive.
“It’s been two weeks since Israel put in place the complete siege of the Gaza Strip. And still, for the most part, global silence. Yet the message the Arab world is hearing is loud and clear: Palestinian lives matter less than Israeli ones. Our lives matter less than other lives.”
This is the speech mentioned by Col Douglas Macgregor in the previous discussion with Tucker Carlson. Abdullah’s remarks are about 7 minutes long and very critical of Israel.
